commodoreONLINE is the online home of the Flyer, an internet modem for 8-bit Commodore computers. The site has been running since 2011, and it does something that would have sounded like science fiction in 1982: it lets your Commodore keep its disks and programs on the internet.
What you can do here
- Keep your disks online. Save disk images and programs to your account straight from your Commodore through the Flyer, then load them back on any machine with a Flyer attached.
- Edit disks in your browser. The disk editor lets you organize files, rename them and manage disk images from a modern computer, too.
- Share with the community. Make disks public, browse what other members have shared, find other Commodore owners in the member directory, and add friends.
Online games for your Commodore are coming in November 2026!
Who’s behind it
commodoreONLINE and the Flyer are made by Retroswitch, a small company building new hardware for classic computers. The site, the Flyer’s firmware and everything in between are designed and built in-house by Brandon Bogle.
